Details on our new location as of February 3, 2026

The Aurora Food Pantry is excited to announce its upcoming move to a new home after 15 years at its current location on Industrial Parkway South. Beginning in early 2026, the Pantry will operate from 16 Mary Street, Units 5 and 6 — a newly renovated space designed to better serve the growing needs of the Aurora community.

The new facility offers approximately 6,500 square feet, allowing the Pantry to continue providing all existing programs while creating a more welcoming and accessible environment for clients. The new location, closer to Wellington Street, will also make transit access easier for those travelling to the Pantry.

From its humble beginnings in the basement of a local church in 1990, the Aurora Food Pantry has grown into a vital community resource, serving over 400 families each month. In September 2025 alone, the Pantry supported 437 families, representing 1,309 individuals.

Food bank usage continues to rise across Ontario, with more than one million Ontarians relying on food banks in 2024. Locally, the Aurora Food Pantry experienced a 27% increase in usage between 2023 and 2024, and overall demand has doubled since April 2022.
The Aurora Food Pantry extends heartfelt thanks to Irvine Generations, who generously provided affordable space at 350 Industrial Parkway South and supported the organization throughout its growth over the past 15 years.

The new location at 16 Mary Street will continue to host the Pantry’s regular client services, available three times per week by appointment:
• Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• Thursdays: 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Aurora residents can book appointments online at www.aurorafoodpantry.ca or by calling 905-841-1577. A delivery option is also available for clients unable to visit the Pantry in person.

“We are thrilled to begin this new chapter,” said Sandra Seepaul, Executive Director. “With new beginnings come new possibilities, and this move will allow us to create a warm, dignified space where our community members can access the support they need.”
To facilitate the move, the Aurora Food Pantry will be temporarily closed from January 26 to January 30, 2026. During this brief shutdown, staff and volunteers will prepare the new facility to welcome clients. Services will continue as usual during the other weeks of the month to ensure no interruption in food support.

Starting January 19, 2026, all community donations should be dropped off at the new location at 16 Mary Street, Units 5 and 6.
As with any relocation, there are additional expenses associated with the renovations and updates required to accommodate the Pantry’s programs and the changing needs of its clients. The Aurora Food Pantry operates entirely through the generosity of public donations and community partnerships. With rising costs for rent, utilities, and the upcoming move, the Pantry is encouraging residents and local businesses to consider becoming donors to help offset these expenses and sustain ongoing operations. With Giving Tuesday on December 2nd, this is a meaningful opportunity to support the Aurora Food Pantry at a time when community help is needed most. Community support remains essential to ensuring that no one in Aurora goes hungry.
