About Aurora Food Pantry
The Aurora Food Pantry is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to provide food to those who demonstrate an immediate need. The clients who come to the Aurora Food Pantry for help have faced a variety of circumstances. For many, an unexpected expense, an illness or accident, or other loss of income becomes a crisis that forces them to choose between paying for groceries, rent, or utilities. The Aurora Food Pantry provides food assistance to individuals and families during their toughest times.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Aurora Food Pantry is located on the traditional territories of the Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Anishinaabe peoples, whose presence continues to this day. The Pantry operates on the traditional treaty lands of the Williams Treaty and Treaty 13, home to the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Chippewas of Georgina Island, Rama and Beausoleil. We thank them for sharing this land with us. We believe that a shared understanding of our collective past can help us move together towards a better future.
